Blind River, ON – May 16, 2025 – Tim Hortons in Blind River has once again demonstrated its commitment to local healthcare by making a significant contribution to the North Shore Health Network Foundation (NSHNF) through this year’s Smile Cookie campaign.
On May 14, 2025, the North Shore Health Network Foundation accepted a cheque from the 2025 Smile Cookie Campaign, raising an impressive $11,577. These funds will directly support the Foundation’s Greatest Needs Fund, benefiting the Blind River, Thessalon, and Richards Landing-Matthews sites of the North Shore Health Network.
"It’s a privilege to support the North Shore Health Network Foundation and contribute to the well-being of our community," said Zia Darwish, Owner, Tim Hortons (Blind River). "Seeing our guests come together to support local healthcare is incredibly rewarding, and we’re proud to play a part in this impactful initiative."
"The support from our local Tim Hortons and the Blind River community is truly inspiring. Every Smile Cookie is more than a treat—it’s a reminder of what we can achieve together for local healthcare," said Amanda Williams, Chair of the North Shore Health Network Foundation.
The North Shore Health Network Foundation is dedicated to keeping local healthcare within reach by supporting critical equipment purchases, technology upgrades, and enhanced patient care programs. This year’s Smile Cookie funds will ensure that healthcare professionals have the tools they need to deliver high-quality care close to home.
"We are incredibly grateful to our community, the dedicated volunteers, and the Tim Hortons team members who made this year’s campaign a success," said Charlyn Beneteau, Development Officer of the North Shore Health Network Foundation. "Surpassing our fundraising goal is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together to support local healthcare."
The Smile Cookie campaign, which first launched in 1996, has become a beloved annual tradition at Tim Hortons, raising more than $151 million to date for charities, hospitals, and community organizations across Canada and the United States.
